Yes. This programme builds on the African Union’s Mwalimu Nyerere programme for Africa, granting additional funding, and setting up a similar scheme for the Caribbean and Pacific regions.
The European Commission, in partnership with ACP Secretariat, oversees the management of the Intra-ACP academic mobility scheme. It manages the budget and sets priorities, targets and criteria for the Programme. Furthermore, it guides and monitors the general implementation, follow-up and evaluation of the Programme.
The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), with the support of the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Africa Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) will be in charge of the implementation and follow-up this programme (phase one).
